Our mission is to educate for life, with the love of God, and Christian values, at the heart of our school.

Our School Charity

Our school is supporting the Maison de Bénédiction respite centre, part of the Hope Health Action (previously Haiti Hospital Appeal), in Haiti, this year. Our pupils have already had the chance to find out about this charity and the great work they do in Haiti to support children.

The Maison de Bénédiction is a respite centre for children with physical and mental special needs. The centre provides individual programmes for each child based on the needs of their family, providing health care, physiotherapy, food, music, crafts, sports and other related activities to enhance the children’s life. They aim to empower families to care for their children within the family structure. Unfortunately it's estimated that only 2% of children with a disability living in developing countries receive education. Children with disabilities are often completely excluded from society, and often kept at home or abandoned. The Maison de Bénédiction work with families at the centre and in their homes to prevent this from happening. Over 130 families are supported through this work, the only programme of its kind in North Haiti.

Our school is aiming to fund raise for the charity to help with much needed repair work to the building and garden. The pupils at St Paul’s are very excited at the prospect of making a difference and have come up with many fund raising ideas.

Thursday 18th May 2017 – Haiti Celebration

Thank you to everyone who took part in our celebration. We are incredibly proud to have supported Hope Health Action for nearly two years. The children enjoyed seeing how the money they have raised so far has been spent. It is wonderful to be able to say we have been involved in such a worthwhile cause. So far the school has raised a fantastic £5630.47. We are looking forward to seeing how much more will be raised by the 2017 spell-a-thon.

Thank you again for all your contributions.
